Training in the USA. October 24, Washington

On October 24, in the conference hall of the Hilton Home Wood Suites Hotel, Washington, DC, as part of an international training of the US Department of Commerce for Regional Economic Development, a meeting was held with Vice President for Global Initiatives of the US Chamber of Commerce Gary Litman. Mr. Gary spoke about the structure of the management and activities of the Chamber of Commerce within the United States and foreign markets.

The US Chamber of Commerce cooperates with more than 1500 volunteers working in companies, organizations and academic communities that help committees, subcommittees, working groups and councils to develop and implement policies to resolve major problems affecting commercial activities. The Chamber’s mission is to strengthen the competitiveness of the US economy. The activity is devoted to 10 main directions: tax reform and reform of benefits; power engineering; health; international trade and investment; competitive labor resources; capital markets; reliable infrastructure; legal reform; innovation; reform of the legal framework.

In the afternoon, participants of the training attended a seminar on the federal arrangement of the USA conducted by the President of Capital Communications Group, Inc Akrama Elias. The expert uncovered a number of important topics, including the structure of the US government, the US political system and the decision-making process, focusing on foreign policy.
