Proposed product range

Model range of internal-combustion engine equipment includes diesel and gas forklifts with lifting capacity from 1500 to 8000 kg. Model range of electric motor equipment includes forklifts and reach trucks with lifting capacity from 1000 to 3200 kg.

Clack equipment advantages

Disk brakes in oil reservoir are applied in Clark electric motor forklifts as well as in internal-combustion engine forklifts, whereas other producers use it like standard packaging arrangement only for heavy forklifts.  This technology provides gradual braking and braking force growth without wheels locking. Fully closed disk brakes in oil reservoir provide predictable forklift movement during braking, including work in spray zone and other aggressive conditions. “Wet” disk brakes don’t need any regulation as well as periodical change of brake block, more over they increase tires life time. Clark forklifts component parts are proved technically and provide a long life time with low operation expenditures. Gas engine Mitsubishi and diesel engine Yanmar and Iveco (used in forklifts with lifting capacity 6000-8000 kg.)  fully correspond to European exhausts safety norm. Automatic transmission with self-control system provides smooth and powerful motion in any work conditions. Color display grants all operational information about forklifts work. Engine security system automatically stops it in case overheating or lack of oil pressure.

Possibility of construction variety under larger components standardization

Primarily during the designing GEN2 series there has been idea to take into account features of forklifts delivery with different driving gears and different construction to the each of three global markets: North America; Europe and Asia. With goal to make the expenditures as low as possible for all construction types should be used maximum similar parts and units. It’s better to combine the last ones in larger and ready to be mounted systems and modules that make installation and selling easier.

Unique module for different forklifts types

The modular build principle and the renunciation of traditional dash panel were the main initial Clark decisions during the projecting. But during development process the modular build conception has been changed because it was found that forklift chassis fully satisfied customers need in different region.  So, it became possible to satisfy all customers and loadermen needs producing only one machine and getting economical advantage. But work with the modular build was not just wasting the time. Later task has been changed and existed like how to use modules in other forklift types.

The more electronics are, the better human engineering is

The new development, used in GEN2: instead of usual dash panel functions of management and control are concentrated on low-profile keyboard that has semicircle form and is located around steering column. Thereby, the optimal conditions are created at the driver’s work place. More over this decision lets integrate additional management elements to the panel.

Press on tires become popular in European countries

One of GEN2 modifications became special series of Cushion forklifts that is completed with press on tires. This variant is unique departure from single conception of this forklift.  Earlier, these compact and very maneuver forklifts were on sale only in North America, but nowadays they appear in Europe in great quantity. However there is wish to use in these forklifts greater quantity of modules from standard series Clark.  For Cushion forklifts were created its own chassis, so modules can be used for models with different lifting capacity.

Hydraulic drive

During the hydraulic drive creating Clark specialists stick to the strategy of saving the best working components. Particularly customer can choose between hydraulic and hydrostatic drive to every wheel. It’s interesting that other manufacturers use Clark hydraulic direct-drive conception, because hydraulic drive with electrical control and managed with a joystick is very sensitive.

Engines

According to general tendencies in forklifts manufacturing Clark mainly uses Japanese diesel and gas engines because the last ones most of all correspond to hard burnt gases compound ecological requirements. Gas engines incoming for GEN2 from Japan are equipped with system of rotation frequency electrical regulation that promotes better using of power range and equipment kitting with more productive pumps for hydraulic lifting mechanism. Consequently it lets to get for gas forklifts of this series higher lifting speed than its predecessors have had.

The ways of forklifts improvement

It’s not a secret for specialists that the main elements of forklifts chassis are taken from automobile industry. Other development tendencies of this technique also have analogs in automobile production, for example, continually growing of electrician using that increases the forklifts cost.  Forklifts take the lead over   automobile industry goods in creating electrical medium of exchange (“Drive by wire”):  less because of technological reasons and largely in emission properties. Nevertheless, forklifts designers should take interior design now-how ideas from automobile manufacturers. The topic of accessory and auxiliary systems will become actual for both sectors and the main idea here is to make loaderman’s work easier and let know beforehand with electric control system (mounted in Power Control) about dangerous situations.

Color is not just one difference

Forklifts can be conditionally divided into two categories according to work conditions and level of work process intensity. The first category is forklifts working in usual conditions (manufacturer needs simple and reliable forklift for using it the all day long and load motor vehicles or take of pallets from shelves). The second one is forklifts working in conditions of maximal using (in this case manufacturer needs highly productive forklift that is comfort for loaderman). In second case forklifts are equipped not only for doing usual functions but also for connection with storehouse managing department (scanner, navigation system, radio connection for task getting).  Clark company could ahead of time appraise market situation and correspondingly modify wide product range of forklifts. As the result Clark has CMP series with standard attached implements for case of usual using. For more difficult cases when customer needs highly productive machine that works for a long time and should be equipped according to specific conditions, there exist GEN2 series like the first examples of new generation technique. So, the main difference between forklifts series is in the different conditions of its work, that have never determined only with the forklifts color like many customers think. Level of technique is the main criteria when buying forklifts.
